1. Become more companionable
Travel has changed the entire course of my life. I have become more comfortable talking to strangers and got better at small talk. My shyness and tightness around strangers has disappeared.
2. Broaden your mind
Experience meeting new people, trying new food, new cultures and new sights will gives you new perspective on life. The perspective you might gain in five years of life can be gained in a two week trip to a foreign country.
3. Greater appreciation of home:
When I started travelling other countries that truly understood how beautiful home was. A cup of water to brush my teeth might be difficult thing to ask for. I have become more appreciative of the home I have.
4. Become Adventurous:
When travelling you come out of your comfort zone and become confident in your ability to anything. Hikes to the summit of Hyuana Picchu to conquer fear of heights or to do the night walk in the Amazon rain forest to pump your adrenaline. The more you put yourself in uncomfortable situations, the less uncomfortable they become.
5. Learn to go with flow:
I have dealt with missed flights, bad weather, unavoidable delay, mud slides, bad street food and much, much more. You don't get mad, you don't get angry, you just to be calm and move on.
